Our Tonka Dutch Colonial house plan was designed by Ron Brenner of ron brenner architects in Stillwater, Minnesota. Larson Brenner; who has been featured in a number of National and Regional publications, has gained a reputation for designing charming and functional modestly sized homes. This design was inspired by the many classic colonial revival style homes that can be found in many neighborhoods throughout the United States.
This house plan’s exterior is Dutch Colonial with a few modern twists. A beautifully proportioned gambrel roof line runs across the width of the home. A circular window centered between a pair of dormers is positioned above the broad front porch. The result is a sophisticated and inviting entry statement.
The main floor accommodates dining, kitchen and living areas within an open floor plan. A beautiful den is placed to the side of the foyer and offers a quiet space to escape. The staircase positioned in the center of the plan provides convenient access to the three generous upstairs bedrooms.
Foundation
The Tonka Dutch Colonial house plan comes with a full basement foundation. The basement is unfinished but indicates rough in locations for a future bathroom. The plan could easily be adapted by your local Architect or Builder to accommodate lookout, walkout or other lot configurations.
